Hey there! I'm Annika!
I am the leading expert in the ADHD nutrition research space. I’ve read and dissected nearly every single research study there is on ADHD nutrition – and trust me, that’s a lot.
My work lives where science meets self-trust — helping people with ADHD reconnect to their bodies, navigate food without shame, and understand their brains in a whole new way.
Whether you’re here to figure out why food feels so hard, why your brain won’t cooperate, or how to build a life that fits you — you’re in the right place.

My Story With Food
If I had to sum it up in one phrase? A little bit obsessive.
Food has always felt like the one thing I should be able to control — and yet, I’ve often felt completely out of control with it.
In early 2025, things hit a breaking point. I knew everything about how to support ADHD through nutrition. I had the research. The knowledge. The protocols. But my own relationship with food was getting worse.
I’d sit down to eat and suddenly feel overwhelmed or furious for no reason — like I needed to throw my fork, bang my plate, or cry. I couldn’t swallow. Nothing sounded good. I knew what to eat — and still, I couldn’t do it.
That’s when I realized the real issue wasn’t just food. It was communication — between my body and my brain.
Out of that, I developed the Metabolic Communication Model of ADHD — my theory that ADHD isn’t just about the brain… It’s about disrupted signaling between body and brain.
To change how we eat, we don’t start by changing the food. We start by tuning into our bodies. Once we do that, everything else gets easier.
That’s what I teach. That’s what I live. And if you’re struggling too — you’re not alone. That is what the Nutrimind Lab is all about.
